NU Reveals Non-Conference Slate

Northwestern's non-conference schedule will feature seven homes games, one of those against major conference teams, an appearance in the Charleston Classic, and the annual Big Ten-ACC Challenge.

The schedule is highlighted by a home game against Baylor—who reached the Elite Eight in 2010—on December 4th.

The Wildcats will open the season with an exhibition against Robert Morris (Ill) on November 7th, then play their first regular season game on November 13th against Texas-Pan American.

On November 17th, the Wildcats travel to South Carolina to participate in the Charleston Classic. They will open with LSU, and then will play either Tulsa or Western Kentucky if they reach the second-round.

Northwestern will return to Welsh-Ryan Arena on November 25th to play Stony Brook, and then they will head to Atlanta to play Georgia Tech at Philips Arena.

After the matchup with the Yellow Jackets, the Wildcats will play five-straight home games. They start with Mississippi Valley State on December 2nd, then host Baylor on December 4th. After an 11-day layoff for exams, NU plays three games in four days against Texas Southern, Central Connecticut, and Eastern Illinois.

The non-conference slate is wrapped up on December 22nd when the Wildcats travel to Omaha to play Creighton.

No information on game times or television designations has been announced yet. Eight of Northwestern's non-conference games were broadcasted in 2010.
