Today's games are must win for the Wildcats.
Forget all the runs hits errors, the pitching stats, fielding, who has the best hitters, etc.etc. etc.
The Cats have to play like they did against Illinois a few weekends ago. They scratched, clawed, hit, pitched, and played in the field against the Illini like the old "Boys of Summer" and came away with a near lock on the Big 10 tournament.
They haven't played like that since.
The Northwestern Wildcats at 14-13 in the Big 10, are presently in 4th place, ahead of both Penn State [15-14] and Indiana [15-14] in both the win and loss column. Two wins gives them at least 4th place. Two losses and we're back where we were last year. A split and we're arguing with Penn State over tiebreakers.
I know Wildcat baseball fans [and the team] would just rather play and win 2 today.
Go Cats! As Roger Breeding, on of Seaford's top Little League Coaches used to say, to each and every player
