Watkins Wants To Visit Evanston

The recruitment for Moeller (OH) junior Keith Watkins has been picking up, but he says there's one school he's hoping to visit before the season ends. See what is it about Northwestern that makes the running back want to visit Evanston so bad.

6-foot, 223 pound junior Keith Watkins is a tank on the field. The strong running back is one of the stars of his Moeller (OH) team and this has lead to schools picking up interest in him.

Even though time is running out in the college football season, there is one school Watkins is eager to visit.

"I'm trying to get up to Northwestern pretty soon."

What is it about Northwestern that Watkins is interested to see?

"Mainly I'm trying to see how the tradition is and find out the level of intensity of their game."

When asked if he has been in touch with the Wildcats lately, the junior replied, "Yes, I speak to linebackers coach Randy Bates every once in a while."

Besides Northwestern, Watkins says that several new schools have been getting in touch with him.

"Purdue, West Virginia and Wisconsin have begun talking to me."

As for now, Watkins is focusing on finishing off his junior season strong.

"The season's been going well. I'm playing pretty good, but I couldn't do it without my O-Line."
