Wildcats Offer Junior Tackle

Junior tackle Kyle Bosch added another scholarship offer from a prominent Big Ten school, as Pat Fitzgerald and the Northwestern Wildcats extended an offer during his visit on campus.

Kyle Bosch had not been to Northwestern's campus since he was a little kid, but on Saturday, he took in the Wildcats' game with Penn State on an unofficial visit. He didn't leave empty-handed.

"Their recruiting coordinator, Coach MacPherson, pulled me aside and told me Coach Fitzgerald wanted to talk to me," Bosch said. "I talked to Coach Fitzgerald before they went out of the tunnel and he said they were going to offer me."

The junior tackle currently holds offers from Northwestern, Arizona, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Michigan State, Purdue, Stanford, and West Virginia. He has also picked up interest from Notre Dame, Ohio State, Wisconsin, and others.

Adding the offer from Northwestern was stirring for Bosch.

"It was really exciting," Bosch said. "Northwestern is a great school with a good football program and it's one of the best academic school in the country. It was exciting to get that offer."

While visiting campus, Bosch met with NU offensive line coach Adam Cushing, and the two discussed how Northwestern's program operates. Bosch said that interaction stood out.

"(Coach Cushing) was just telling me about the offense they run and how I fit in well with their offensive schemes and their strength and conditioning, their weight room, their locker room," Bosch said. "He showed me around with what Northwestern football is all about."

Thus far, Bosch has visited Michigan and Notre Dame—making Northwestern his most recent and likely final visit of this season. His St. Francis Spartans are preparing for the first round of the playoffs, which begin next weekend.
