Ohio Lineman Interested In NU

One of Ohio's highest-rated 2013 offensive line prospects picked up his first offer this week, as Centerville's Evan Lisle received good news from Cincinnati. With several other top BCS programs in contact, the recruitment of Lisle is just beginning.

The 2013 class of Ohio prospects is extremely strong in the area of offensive tackles, and the best might be Centerville's Evan Lisle. Lisle, 6-foot-5, 260-pounds, had an impressive junior season in 2011, and his recruitment is starting to take off. Thursday night came news of his first offer.

"Wanted you to know Cincinnati offered tonight," Lisle stated. "My coach told me today I had the offer, and he told me to call Coach (Mark) Elder at Cincinnati. It feels awesome, being that it's my first offer. It feels like all the hard work is paying off."

"The Cincinnati program has played in big games lately," he added. "I know their program is getting better. I've never been there for a game, and they want me to visit on December 3rd. They want me to come to campus and see a game."

Previously, Lisle visited Ohio State and Northwestern, and this weekend he will be headed to Notre Dame.

"I've only been to Ohio State and Northwestern so far," he explained. "I'm also going to see Notre Dame this weekend, and I will be going to Georgia Tech over Thanksgiving. I saw Northwestern play Michigan, and that was a great experience. The atmosphere was great and it was a fun game to watch."

"I was at Ohio State for the Wisconsin game and it was crazy," he added. "I haven't talked to Ohio State too much, and they haven't told me much. I know Georgia Tech is interested and so is Notre Dame. I saw Notre Dame before, but I'm looking forward to seeing a game there. I don't have any favorite school yet, and I'm going to take this really slow."

Centerville finished the 2011 season at 7-4, losing in the first round of the playoffs to Middletown.
