Wildcats Lead Minnesota

Northwestern owns a 21-10 halftime lead over the Minnesota Golden Gophers.

After a fast start, Northwestern's offense has calmed down, as the Wildcats lead Minnesota 21-10 at halftime.

The Cats scored on their first three possessions, but have been stopped by the Gophers ever since.

Kain Colter has been all over the place for NU's offense so far, catching a touchdown pass, running the ball and playing quarterback.

The defense, however has struggled at times. The defensive front has done a decent job of containing versatile quarterback MarQueis Gray, but the secondary has allowed a number of Gophers wide receivers to get wide open—it has been aided by a number of drops.

Venric Mark was impressive on kick returns, returning on to the NU 45-yard line and another to the Minnesota 45.
