The game was a low-scoring defensive struggle, but forward Brittany Orban led the team with 13 points. The team struggled to make shots fall, shooting just 30 percent from the field with and only two makes from three-point range.
The Wildcats had other struggles, as well, including having only two points off the bench and two players who fouled out. The team did, however, make it to the line more often, scoring 13 points off of free throws.
Regardless, the ‘Cats made it out and scored a big victory against a marquee opponent on the road to boost their record to 4-0. Perhaps more importantly, they made it through their first exceptionally close game and for a team with some young talent, that may prove very important.
