Badgers Blast Northwestern

The Wildcats were no match for Wisconsin in the second half. The Badgers outscored Northwestern by 18 in the half, and cruised to a 77-57 victory.

Northwestern came out with a strong showing in the first half. After falling behind early, NU rallied behind a 14-2 run, and opened up a five-point lead. John Shurna, Drew Crawford, and Dave Sobolewski led the charge in the first half, combining for 30 of the team's 32 points.

Wisconsin held a two-point lead at halftime, but began to surge in the second half. The Badgers were sparked by a 21-6 run in the opening seven minutes. Northwestern shifted to a 1-3-1 zone defense, which faltered against a hot-shooting Wisconsin team.

The Badgers finished with four scorers in double-figures, led by 17 points from Ryan Evans. Wisconsin posted 12 three-pointers in the win. will have more postgame coverage from the Kohl Center.
