NU Offers Junior Running Back

Northwestern is the latest school to offer junior running back Justin Davis, a product of Stockton, California. Davis discusses his offer and recruitment in this recruiting update.

Junior running back Justin Davis has yet to start the bulk of his recruiting process, and while he hopes to start out close to home, he is receiving national attention.

The Stockton, Calif., product has offers from UCLA, California, Boise State, Oklahoma, Michigan and Northwestern and is also receiving interest from USC, among other schools. He plans on visiting the ones close to home for junior days this spring.

"I'm just staying close to home, going to UCLA and Cal," he said. "I'm going to see how it goes down at the USC junior day and see if they'll offer me."

While Davis is staying close for his early visits, he said that proximity to home will not make a big difference in his final decision.

"Just early on, I'm just trying to stay close," he said. "It's not really a big factor for me."

Davis said his decision will be based off "how I fit in on campus and how they can use me."

He hasn't decided on a favorite yet, but likes what Northwestern has to offer.

"It's a really interesting offer I have," he said. "It's by Chicago, and it's a really good academic school so that's good."

Davis does not have a timetable for his decision.
