McCollum High On Northwestern

Dublin Coffman (OH) High School athlete Miles McCollum is drawing interest from numerous schools thanks to his versatility. Northwestern's Pat Fitzgerald and Matt MacPherson recently visited him in school. Get the details on his recruitment in this update.

Miles McCollum has played fullback, tight end, defensive end, and linebacker for Dublin Coffman (OH) High School. The rising junior's versatility is attracting interest from a number of schools.

McCollum has received interest from Northwestern, Bowling Green, Cincinnati, Indiana, Kentucky, Ohio, Ohio State, Toledo, and West Virginia.

Colleges are drawn to McCollum's versatility, but he doesn't have a preference as to which position he plays in college.

"I'm pretty quick for my size," McCollum pointed out. "I would really want to play anyhwere at any college, I don't care what position I play."

McCollum recently visited with Northwestern's Pat Fitzgerald and Matt MacPherson at his school, and was invited to attend a summer football camp in Evanston.

"I'm definitely interested in Northwestern," McCollum said. "I like that it's in the Big Ten and a really good academic school, as well. I look foroward to following them."

During the offseason, McCollum has received in-school visits from NU, Cincinnati, Indiana, Kentucky, Purdue, and others. He has also attended Junior Day at Ohio and Ohio State.

Meanwhile, McCollum is working to improve during the offseason. He is working out each day and playing rec league basketball for fun. McCollum hopes to be in top form for his senior season.

"I'm just trying to be the best player I can for my senior season, it's the most important," he said. "I've been lifing four days a week and I've been running trying to improve my times."
