Interest for 2013 quarterback Pat Hart is heating up from teams around the country, and despite not holding any offers, Hart is busy learning about potential schools.

"I've been talking to a lot of big time schools," he said." (Illinois), Northwestern, Purdue, Wisconsin, Indiana and then, outside of the Big Ten, Northern Illinois, Lehigh, Georgetown, Harvard, Princeton, Boston College and Georgia Tech (have shown interest)."

The Oak Park, Illinois, native has been making the rounds at Big Ten schools that have shown interest.

"I went to Purdue and (Illinois) recently for junior days," he said. "I was at Indiana during their season for their game against Purdue. I've been to Northwestern a couple of times. I went there for a bowl practice and wen there for a game against Minnesota. I was at Wisconsin for one of their camps over the summer."

Hart hopes to get to Northwestern again during the spring.

"I've been exchanging emails with Coach (Matt) MacPherson and I think they want me up there for spring ball," he said. "I'll definitely be up there."

Hart enjoyed his previous visits to Northwestern and enjoyed seeing the campus, as well as the athletics facilities.

"I've always been a big fan of Northwestern," he said. "I got to see more of their facilities. I went to camp at Northwestern over the summer and saw how they run things. They're very organized and I felt like the coaches are very into what the players are doing.

"I saw campus," he added. "It's really unique and a different atmosphere from what you would think of a college campus. It's got a city vibe to it, which was really cool and it's on the lake, which was awesome."

Hart is also excited about NU's future.

"Coach told me that the team has been working really hard in the offseason," he said. "I heard they might have a couple of transfers come in that are really good players."

He also thinks NU could extend an offer soon.

"I've been talking to them for awhile now," he said. "I've gotten to know Coach MacPherson and the other coaches pretty well. I visited a couple times and I'm pretty familiar with how they handle things there."

However, Hart doesn't have a favorite school at this time and doesn't have a time timetable for when he will make his decision.

"Every school I've been to has really sparked my interest," he said. "I'm lucky as it is to be in this situation, so wherever it pans out, I'll be happy."
