Cerritos (Calif.) Gahr safety Patrick Enewally arrived in Las Vegas for the New Level Athletics 7on7 Tournament with a mission.

"I want to prove that I'm one of the top DB's in the state," Enewally states.

"I'm physical, I have closing speed, good instincts, I read plays easily and I'm overall a good player."

A number of programs around the country agree with Enewally's assessment.

"As of right now, I'm hearing from San Diego State, Tennessee, Nebraska, Missouri, Washington, Oregon State, Northwestern, San Jose State, and Virginia," he reports. .

"I just came back from an unofficial at San Diego State last week. I felt really close with the coaches and I really liked it there, but I don't have a top school right now, I'm open to everyone."

He may not have a favorite, but the 6-foot-2, 191-pound athlete does confess there is one school he's dying to hear from.

"The University of Oregon," he reveals. "I like the way they play. It's fast paced and their DB's aren't that big, but they're all fast. I know that for sure and that's the way I think I play."

What are the specifics Enewally is looking for at the next level?

"A good education, the level of competition and the overall atmosphere and environment," he answers.

Enewally reports a 3.4 GPA and is hoping to take his next unofficial to Tennessee for the Volunteers' Spring Game.
