Cortland Selman, a 6-foot-1, 210-pound, athlete from Detroit (Country Day) will be a prospect to watch in 2003.
Selman is the only football player in 20 years to start as a freshman at Country Day.
"I only had a few calls in May," said Selman.
"Most of the schools had the wrong phone number. I have a scholarship offer from Central Michigan University.
"My favorites right now are Northwestern, Illinois, Indiana, Michigan and Ohio State."
Selman is being recruited as a defensive back. He was named all-area as a junior. Cortland won a regional title in the 110-meter high hurdles.
Selman says he has already been to Bowling Green for camp and he may also camp at Michigan State and Ohio State this summer.
