Hart traveled to Northwestern's campus this past weekend for an overnight visit, and enjoyed his time on campus.
"I didn't know how close (NU) was to Chicago and everything else," Hart said. "Loyola, DePaul -- I have some friends going there. It's a great locaitonn, right on the lake."
Hart spent a great deal of time with NU head coach Pat Fitzgerald. The most important thing he took from those meetings was learning of the school's prestigious degree.
"I didn't know all about the opportunities academically, all you can do with that degree," Hart said. "It was great from that aspect."
On Monday, the day after returning home from Evanston, Hart spoke on the phone with Fitzgerald.
"We talk once or twice a week," said Hart. "I've talked to him in person three times. It's a really great relationship."
Hart has narrowed down his list of options to four schools -- Northwestern, Nebraska, Pittsburgh and Virginia. He hopes to make a decision in the months prior to his senior season -- anytime between May to August, as he stated. He is looking for a few factors in finding the right school.
"Probably where I have the most opportunities all around, academic oportunity to football opportunities," he said. "Where I trust the people the most, it's all about people. That's what's really going to make the differnece, the people and opportunities."
