Several Programs Checking Out Brown

Fox Sports Next has the update on Katy cornerback Isaiah Brown from Texas. In the midst of spring football, the Katy star talked about practice and what's the latest in his recruitment. See what all he has going on in this Fox Sports Next feature.

Getting back into the state picture is on the minds of the West Houston program Katy. And the work is being done now to make sure that goal can happen. Cornerback Isaiah Brown spoke on this when Fox Sports Next visited Katy this past week for the end-of-week scrimmage.

"Spring ball is going well right now. I can see each day that the team is getting better," Brown said. "Our defense is looking good too."

Brown was speaking mainly of the secondary, and rightfully so seeing that this is the position group from which he is a part of. The 5-foot-11, 175-pound Brown said that some great changes have occurred in the secondary and this unit has the chance to be solid for the 2012 season.

Last season, Brown was solid recording 45 tackles, three interceptions and 10 pass break ups. Still awaiting that first offer

Isaiah has the chance to be as good as any we have had out here before it is all said and done," Katy coach Gary Joseph said.

And with that said, Brown has had a great deal of interest come his way for a good portion of this off season. Though no offers have been extended as of yet, he is confident that one may come sooner than later.

"I'm getting looks from San Jose State, UT-San Antonio and Boise State," Brown said. "But I'm probably hearing the most from Northwestern."

Brown said he intends to attend some camps this summer, but has not solidified his schedule. While at spring practice, Tulsa was on hand to check out a number of players, Brown included.
