NU offers Florida tight end

Reilly Gibbons continues adding major offers and he just picked up another one. Read on for more..

Reilly Gibbons has quickly emerged as one of the state's premier tight end prospects -- and he's just a junior. At 6-foot-6 and 250 pounds, the St. Pete Catholic standout added another offer today.

"Reilly was just offered by the head coach of Northwestern University," said his father, Shannon. "Said that Reilly has all of the ingredients of a great left offensive tackle."

The early offer may come as a surprise to some.

"Told Reilly and I that he has been doing this for many years and does not usually early offer, but in Reilly's case he decided to do it."

It doesn't take much for these college coaches to see a special talent level in Gibbons.

"He went on further to say that it only took three plays to decide to early offer Reilly."

Gibbons, who will likely end up being a left tackle in college, also has offers from Tennessee, USF, UCF, Rutgers, Purdue, San Diego State, and Nebraska.
