Garrett Dickerson commits to Northwestern

Northwestern landed a major commit, with Garrett Dickerson pledging to the Wildcats.

Four-star defensive end/tight end Garrett Dickerson of Oradell (N.J.) Bergen Catholic HS committed to Northwestern during his campus visit this weekend.

After suffering a seven-game losing streak this season, Northwestern proved it can still recruit — landing its top priority at a key moment.

Dickerson chose the Wildcats over Stanford in his final decision. He gave the program positive feedback when speaking to Brian Dohn of Scout.com on Nov. 12.

"For Northwestern, they're [then] 4-5," he said. "That has no impact on what I think of the team, or the school, because I do know that even though they may be in a slump right now, you know they're striving for excellence and greatness."

The brother of Cameron, he's the third NU commit this year to join a sibling at Northwestern, with Cameron Queiro and Nathan Hall joining that list. It's only adding to the family atmosphere at Northwestern.

Now, he's just the perfect commit at the perfect time.

The other two open offers – Khari Blasingame and Parrker Westphal – visited Northwestern this weekend as well, alongside 10 (now 11) commits.
