Henry Ellenson to visit NU this weekend

5-star PF (Scout No. 14 overall) Henry Ellenson of Rice Lake (Wis.) visits Northwestern as part of its weekend team camp. He might be the most significant hoops recruit in program history.

Henry Ellenson will visit Northwestern this weekend. The Wildcats are hosting their first ever team camp—with various Midwest prospects on hand.

The most important is Ellenson, who may well be the most important basketball recruit in program history. A five-star power forward from Rice Lake (Wis.), Ellenson would completely change the dynamic of NU basketball.

NU began its recruitment of Ellenson last season, with the big man visiting for a home game. Chris Collins and the entire staff are building relationships with his family, hoping to pull off something of a major upset.

Ellenson ranks No. 3 in the Scout.com center ranking and No. 14 overall. His offers include Wisconsin, Duke, UCLA, Michigan State and many more.

The team camp should function as another chance to get Ellenson on campus. He's joined by some other NU targets and players in another great recruiting opportunity for the program.

PurpleWildcats.com will have EXCLUSIVE coverage from the Northwestern team camp, with stories from players including Ellenson, Nick Robinson, Zion Morgan, Mike Smith and Matt Heldt.
