Practice Notes: Prater stands out

Kyle Prater and Trevor Siemian dominated practice Tuesday.

- Ifeadi Odenigbo still isn't practicing with the first team defense, but he's still dominating opposing linemen. Odenigbo ripped through the pocket on one scrimmage play, and was held so blatantly that his jersey ripped.

- The team took more handoffs than usual Tuesday, and Justin Jackson had a few nice cuts. But the Northwestern run defense continues to plug holes and smother the line of scrimmage. Both sides looked good.

- Kyle Prater had a few ridiculous catches, including one athletic, leaping grab over Terrance Brown. Trevor Siemian also fit some tight throws over the middle to Miles Shuler and Tony Jones.

- Surprise: Godwin Igwebuike had another interception, this time on a deep ball thrown by Zack Oliver. With Ibraheim Campbell out again this week, Igwebuike will need have another big game Saturday. All in all, spirits were high and both sides of the ball looked sharp.
