Connor McShane Has a Great Visit!

Northwestern comes back in "Cardiac Cat" fashion and stuns Michigan State. That was a big win. However, the Wildcats seem to be putting on a better show behind the scenes. Take a look.

OL Connor McShane 6-5 280 5.2 Valparaiso, Indiana

Connor McShane is among the top prospects in the state of Indiana. McShane was a first team all state selection as a junior. He had 68 tackles and 4 sacks in 2000. McShane made an unofficial visit to Northwestern this past Saturday.

We were able to catch up with Connor McShane's father and he told us about their Northwestern visit.

"First of all it was a great game." McShane said. "We've been to several schools and I have to say that Northwestern is the most professional of any school we've visited.

Their Director of Football Operations (Justin Chabot) gave a power point presentation and then a person from the academic support staff gave a little talk. We also were able to talk with the coaching staff.

(Head Coach) Randy Walker treated everyone great and it's really amazing how he makes himself available. He walks around and he's asking everyone how they are doing. You don't see that at very many places.

Coach (Pat) Fitzgerald and Coach (James) Patton spoke with Connor and told him they were only going to take five offensive lineman and he was in consideration. We're hoping they (Northwestern) looks Connor's way. We'd love to end up at Northwestern."
