Arizona Corner Has An NU Offer

Phoenix (Brophy Prep) CB/WR Uriah Marshall gives an update on his top school choices. Northwestern has offered. Do the 'Cats have a shot? Take a look.

Uriah Marshall, a 5-foot-11, 185-pound cornerback from Phoenix (AZ) Brophy Prep has a Northwestern University scholarship offer but don't look for Marshall to go shopping for his long underwear and winter jacket.

"I've been offered by Northwestern but I think I'm going to stay in the Pac-10." Marshall said.

"Nothing against the Midwest or the Big Ten but I want to stay somewhat closer to home and it's a lot warmer here on the West Coast.

"Arizona State, Cal, Washington, Oregon and Oregon State are my favorites. All five have offered me.

"Arizona State and Washington are my leaders right now.

"I don't have any of my official visits set up yet. Where 5-3 right now and I'll probably wait until after the season to set up my visits."

Marshall is a three-year varsity starter. So far in 2003, he has 43 solo tackles and three interceptions.
