Good start for NU Recruit

6-5 Sterling Williams Chicago (IL) Whitney Young had 13 points and grabbed ten rebounds, but it was not enough as the Dolphins lost to New Trier (6-6) 51-47 in overtime in the Proviso West Tournament. Williams signed with Northwestern in the early signing period. He was NU's first Chicago Public League signee in 25 years.

Williams also had 19 points and eleven rebounds in Young Magnet's 66-54 win over Fenger. He previously has 12 points and nine rebounds, but just shot 4-of-23 from the field, including 0-of-7 on three-pointers in earlier Proviso West Holiday Tournament action. The Dolphins had won the two past Proviso West Tournaments. They are off to a 5-4 start after losing four Division I players from last year's roster.
