Jitim Young had a great day, shooting 10 for 13 from the floor, 1 of 3 from the arc while stroking in 10 of 15 freethrows and getting 8 rebounds. Fellow Guard Mohamed Hachad hit 5 of 11 [and 3 FTs] to finish with 13 points, but more important he added 7 rebounds and 6 assists.
Forward Vedran Vukusic added 10 points and 4 boards, a block, 3 assists and 4 boards. T.J. Parker scored 3, dished out 5 assists, while Center Ivan Tolic hit for 2, and grabbed 3 rebounds. Davor Duvancic also added 2 points and 4 rebounds. The Cats only turned the ball over 4 times.
Former Cat Ben Johnson was held to 8 points [4-8].
The men's team was down 3-1 to Pepperdine when the team stormed back, setting up the win at #7 [Adam Schaechterle] that clinched the match.Then it was the Women's turn to turn on the heroics.
