Cote to Transfer - NU a prospect?

NU has been looking for that elusive Big Man for a while.<br><br> <b>Purple Reign</b> has learned that former Kentucky Forward <b>Bernard Cote</b> just might be looking to play for a different group of Wildcats...

Bernard Cote, a 6-9 Canadian who averaged 1.4 points as a sophomore last season at Kentucky, has decided to transfer and has been granted a release.

According to Cote's former coach at Champlain St. Lambert, John DeAngelas, there has been plenty of interest in Cote - including numerous Big Ten schools.

Northwestern is reported to be talking with Cote, a big guy who can also shoot 3 pointers. He was a high school teammate of present NU Shooting Guard Mohamed Hachad. [Thanks for Greg Kane for giving us the lead]
