Walker Should be Out Wednesday

Northwestern Head Coach Randy Walker remains in the Evanston Hospital Tuesday Afternoon. <p>Sources at Northwestern say he could be released Wednesday.

Northwestern Head Coach Randy Walker fell Ill just prior to the Monday Press Meeting and checked himself into the Evanston Hospital.

Initial reports are that he is suffering from Myocarditis, an uncommon illness that effected his heart muscle, and that he should be released Wednesday.

Still undetermined is who would act as head coach during the Homecoming Game Saturday should Walker still be sick. NU alum Jerry Brown carries the title of Assistant Head Coach, but typically works upstairs with Defensive Coordinator Greg Colby. Offensive Coordinator Mike Dunbar has extensive experience as a head coach.
