But 3 of our NFL veteran alumni could be looking for a new job this Spring.
OLB Kevin Bentley was originally drafted by the Browns in 2002 in the 4th round and won the strong side job in his second season.
He was moved to weak side LB in 2004, but suffered a series of injuries and got tagged with an "underachieiver" label, although he's considered a decent cover linebacker.
MLB Barry Gardner a 6 year pro, he becomes a free agent after a couple of years with the Browns. Originally drafted by Philadelphia as their Middle Linebacker of the Future, he wound up with the Browns in 2003 after Jerimiah Trotter stepped up his play for the Eagles.
He saw limited action with the Browns, and was injured in the middle of the season but did start the final few games of the season in 2004.
OG Matt O'Dwyer tore a pectoral muscle over the Summer of 2004 and was declared physically unable to perform. He had signed a one year contract with Tampa Bay in 2004 as a free agent last year after 9 years with Cincinnatti and the New York Jets.
Before his injury, he had been expected to start for the Bucaneers.
