The Cats last played the Flames on the road on December 20th, 2003. Jitim Young scored 27, and Vedran Vukusic hit for 23, but the next 3 scoring leaders all had 5 points each, as the Flames' hot shooting led to a 90-71 Wildcat loss.
The Flames expect to be hot again this year. They've recent signed a junior college Point Guard Standout, D.J. Smedley, and also added a 6-11 Center transfer Scott VanderMeer who will not be eligible until 2006. the Flames averaged 70 Points a game last year, finishing 15-14, although they were 10-5 at home.
Location and date of the game hasn't been announced, but the last game was on the road, and you would expect the next one to be at Welsh-Ryan.
Northwestern hasn't announced its full schedule yet, but the Cats also have apparently committed to play in a tournament in Wyoming early in the season.
