The last time NU Lacrosse played in Maryland...there had been a lot of rain, but it was a nice enough night and the Cats won the NCAA Women's Lacrosse Championship. Monday afternoon, despite 11+ inches of snow in the area Sunday, the Cats beat Maryland 13-8 for #22 in a row...

Neither Rain, nor Snow, nor Gloom of night or being down 4-0 early dismayed the Northwestern Wildcats who reeled off 7 straight goals to go into halftime 7-4. Maryland did score another 7, but the Cats answered with 6, and won going away.

Both Kristen Kjellman and Laura Glassanos scored 3 goals each, Aly Josephs and Meredith Frank had 2 each, Lindsey Munday, Hannah Nielson and Sarah Albrecht scored one goal apiece. Kjellman also had 3 assists in the game.

One stat Lacrosse of serious interest were Draw Controls - the Cats had 12 to Maryland's 10. The Cats outshot the Terrepins 32 to 17 in the game. The full box score is up on NUSports.com.
