Watt Talks Northwestern Junior Day

Kevin Watt, a 6-foot-4, 225-pound, linebacker/tight end, from Glenbard West high in Glen Ellyn, Ill., is one of the top prospects in the Land of Lincoln. Watt attended a junior day at Iowa in February and he returned Sunday from a visit with Northwestern. Did the Wildcats offer a scholarship?

"I didn't get an offer from Northwestern," Kevin Watt said. "It was a real good visit. I sat down with Coach Walker and Coach Fitzgerald and we just talked about football and where they see me fitting in at Northwestern.

"I also spent some time with Coach Cushing and we had a good discussion. We took a tour of the facilities and the locker room. We all got a chance to go up to the press box to have a lunch. It was real nice.

"Northwestern told me that I could play offense or defense. Tight end on offense and maybe a hybrid between defensive end and linebacker.

"I still don't have an offer yet. My favorites are Iowa, Northwestern, Illinois, Purdue, Indiana and Boston College. You can take out Penn State and Purdue. I haven't heard much from them lately."

Watt told Scout.com that he plans on attending spring practices at Iowa, Illinois and Northwestern. He also plans on attending the Scout.com All-American Combine at the University of Iowa.
