Bower Continues to Impress

Northwestern was the first to offer Brad Bower a scholarship but they'll have plenty of competition for his services. Bower received his second Big Ten scholarship offer this past week.

Brad Bower, a 6-foot-2, 185-pound, quarterback from Hinsdale (Ill.) Central continues to impress during his summer camp visits.

"Purdue offered me at camp this week." Bower said. "It came as a total surprise. I had a great workout but I wasn't expecting an offer at least not this soon.

"The quarterback position is so instrumental in the success of the Purdue offense that it made me feel good that they (Purdue coaches) have so much confidence in my abilities.

"I threw the ball very well and I ran a 4.6 in the 40-yard dash. Purdue is definitely high on my list of schools now. This weekend I'm going to Illinois and next week is Notre Dame. At the end of the month I'll be at Northwestern."

Bower says he has no leader at this time. He'll sort out his options after all summer camps have been completed.

Brad Bower is interested in eight schools at this time. Purdue, Northwestern, Illinois, Iowa, Penn State, Boston College, Notre Dame and Michigan.
