"I did my homework and looked in to the depth charts. I felt that they offered me the best opportunity," Michael Bolden told Scout.com Friday.
Bolden is a versatile athlete who could play a number of positions, but the Wildcats are looking at him exclusively to play corner.
"I feel comfortable at corner, and that is the position I would probably like to play," the Scout.com two-star prospect said. "I can play a number of positions, so it does not matter much to me where I end up."
He was also impressed with the direction of the program under coach Pat Fitzgerald. "He seems to have everything going in the right direction," Bolden informed Scout.com.
Bolden is mainly being recruited as a defensive back, but as a junior in 2005 he rushed for over 1,000 yards and 12 touchdowns.
The Wildcats can definitely use help at cornerback - starter Marquice Cole is due to graduate this year, and The Cats have struggled to find a right corner who can both stay healthy and play the position.
