Justin Hartig, a 6-foot-4, 285-pound, offensive lineman from Charlotte, Michigan will be a prospect to keep an eye on in 2002. That's CHAR-LOT not CHAR-LET as in Charlotte, North Carolina. Hartig says its CHAR-LOT. Ok, now we've got that straight.
"I don't have a scholarship offer yet." Hartig said. "I'm mostly hearing from the Big Ten schools and Notre Dame. "Notre Dame would be my leader and I also like Michigan, Michigan State, Iowa and Northwestern."
Hartig will be a four-year varsity starter on both sides of the ball in 2002. Last season, Hartig put up some impressive defensive numbers. Justin had 89 solo tackles and 20 sacks in 2001.
Hartig was named all-area and all-conference two years in a row. He camped at Notre Dame, Michigan and Michigan State this summer.
Hartig also letters in track. He carries a 3.4 GPA and scored 19 on his ACT.
