Jonte Flowers Film Evaluation

Jonte Flowers, a 6-foot-4, 175-pound, wide receiver from Madison (WI) La Follette is quite a player. Head Coach Joe Gothard had HIGH PRAISE for his prized recruit and after watching film it's easy to see the Flowers has a bright future ahead of him.

Jonte Flowers has tremendous hands. He catches everything thrown his directions. Flowers will go after the deep ball. He's fearless going across the middle. His hand-eye coordination is fantastic as he constantly made tough over the shoulder catches on fade routes.

What stood out to me is how physical Flowers is and what long strides he takes. He's not a burner. Jonte's best 40-yard time is 4.6 but his speed is deceptive and he was constantly getting behind the safeties making big time catches.

Flowers also played some defense for La Follette and he made some tremendous interceptions and he loves to lay the big hit.

The biggest hurdle for college recruiters will be convincing Jonte and his family (five brothers) that he has a future in football. Jonte is also a D-1 basketball prospect and he comes from a basketball family.

Basketball may be an option for Flowers but after watching film of him on the gridiron he should give football some serious consideration.

Big thanks to La Follette Head Coach Joe Gothard. I received film of Jonte Flowers and tight end, defensive end Matt Brown only two-days after speaking with him on the phone.

Coach Gothard is one of the best in the business at promoting his kids and we definitely appreciate his input and willingness to help us and his prospects.
