"Yes, I committed to Northwestern," said linebacker Kyle Wagner.
"I didn't have any other scholarship offers. Bowling Green, U Conn and Boston College were all calling."
Wagner, a 6-foot-3, 225-pounder, from Jacksonville (Fla.) Bolles is a three-year varsity starter. He had 141 tackles as a junior and was named 2nd team all-state.
Why did Wagner choose the Wildcats?
"Northwestern stresses academics and that was priority #1 for me. Bolles stresses academics and I wanted to be in the same environment in college.
"The (Northwestern) football team is young but getting better and I hope to contribute to that." Wagner said.
Wagner is being recruited by Northwestern assistant coach Pat Fitzgerald.
