'Cats Offer Fine O-Lineman

One of the top offensive line prospects in the Midwest has just been offered a scholarship by Northwestern and he scheduled an official visit. Does he have a leader?

"We're 11-0 and cruising right now," said offensive lineman Luke Knauf.

"We play our second play-off game this weekend. I was named all-conference on both sides of the ball and conference lineman of the year.

"Northwestern is my latest offer. I have visits set up with Iowa (11-22), Northwestern (12-6) and Wisconsin (12-13) so far.

"Those three schools have all offered me a scholarship. I'm still talking with Nebraska and Minnesota as well.

"I'm not going to name a leader right now. Everyone is on equal ground."

Knauf, a 6-foot-4, 295-pounder, from Stratford, Wisconsin is a three-year varsity starter that was named all-state in 2001.
