Big Signing By Women's Tennis

A major signing by the Tennis Team was been reported in the Evanston Review Wednesday...

Her Name is Alexis Prousis
Alexis ProusisAnd according to Larry Watts at the Evanston Review, she's the latest to sign a letter of intent with Northwestern University Tennis.

She's presently ranked #22 by the USTA, and in May was the Girl's 18 year old Quarterfinalist at the Peach State Classic [According to Junior Tennis.Com]. She's also a good doubles player - finishing 3rd in the Easter Bowl Supernationals.

She's from Lake Forest, Illinois, played for Lake Forest HS, and is coached by Mark Bey of the Libertyville Tennis & Fitness Club. She chose NU over Vanderbilt, among others.

Her signing will help strengthen an already strong Women's Tennis Team. NU already has the Big 10 Tennis Player of the Year - Marine Piriou, and incoming frosh Cristelle Grier from Surrey, England who is already beating top players in the US.

NU Coach Claire Pollard looks to have a pretty good team for the next few year.
