A Coach Fitz Sighting in Houston

[Special to Purple Reign] <br>Its no secret that NU is recruiting a few top prospects in the Houston area this year - and that area belongs to NU Linebacker Coach Pat Fitzgerald...

Coach Fitzgerald paid a visit to the annual Houston Touchdown Club Player of the Year dinner earlier this week. He probably wasn't the only college coach in attendance, but two Northwestern prospects were in the running for the annual award.
Trevor Rees, Pearland's Center, and the only offensive lineman recognized was a candidate.

KaMichael Hall a linebacker prospect from Klein Forest HS was also on the defensive player list.

The award was given to Baytown Lee's Quarterback Drew Tate, who was expected to win. It is possible however, that Coach Fitz was also there in support of another prospect or two who might be considering NU, but is below the "recruiting guru" radar.

Linebacker Coach Pat Fitzgerald is fast becoming one of NU's premier recruiters. He was instrumental in the signing of College Football News' Freshman All American Loren Howard, and it seems his name comes up this year when top recruits get mentioned.

Congratulations to Drew Tate, KaMichael Hall and Trevor Rees. Hope to see most of you in a Wildcat Uniform next year.
