Five Cats in the Playoffs

It was a decent weekend for Five of the NFL Cats as Oakland, Philly, Atlanta and the Browns, teams with NU Wildcat Alumni, made the NFL Playoffs. <br>See, you can watch some NU oriented football in January...

Over in the AFC:

The Cleveland Browns, with former NU Linebacker Kevin Bentley on the squad made the playoffs for the first time since the team was restarted 5 years ago. The Browns will be playing Pittsburg next Sunday [1/5] at Noon CST.

The Oakland Raiders, with former NU Linebacker Napoleon Harris and Offensive Lineman Darryl Ashmore are back in the playoffs. Oakland is the top seed in the AFC and has a bye week.

In the NFC:

The Atlanta Falcons, with Fullback Bob Christian [although he probably won't be playing much with 2 concussions] is in the playoffs. The Falcons will be playing at Green Bay next Saturday [1/4] at 7 PM CST.

And the Philadelphia Eagles, with former NU Linebacker Barry Gardner will enjoy a bye week next week and home team advantage throughout the playoffs, as long as they keep winning.
Congratulations to all the NFL Cats - its been a long time since NU has had 5 alumni in the playoffs.
