"My (Northwestern) visit went very well," said defensive back, John Shevlin.
"I didn't commit. I'm still going to Nebraska this weekend and I have San Jose State scheduled for January 24th.
"What I liked most about Northwestern was the beautiful campus and Chicago is just a few minutes away.
"The program is on the way up and the guys on the team seem to be a big family. Tim McGarigle was my host."
Shevlin, 6-foot-1, 200-pounder, from Apple Valley (Minn.) Eastview is a three-year varsity starter that was named all-state in 2002.
Shevlin had 101 solo tackles, 55 assists, six caused fumbles and six sacks from his linebacker position this season. He also had 1,650 yards rushing and scored 15 touchdowns from his tailback position.
