The Big Ten Conference schedule was previously released Aug. 19.All 31 of NU's regular-season games can be seen on either the Big Ten Network, the ESPN family of networks or BigTenNetwork.com.
Fans can get their first glimpse of the Wildcats Nov. 4 when they host Robert Morris (Ill.) in an exhibition contest. The regular season opens nine days later when NU faces off against local foe Northern Illinois. It is set to be the first meeting between the two schools since the 1986-87 season.Butler, which is expected to begin the season ranked in the top 25, makes the trek to Evanston Nov. 18.
Northwestern then takes part in the Chicago Invitational Challenge, hosting Tennessee State and Liberty Nov. 22 and 24, respectively, at Welsh-Ryan Arena. The event then moves to the UIC Pavilion where the Wildcats take on Notre Dame Nov. 27 followed by a matchup against either Saint Louis or Iowa State the following day.This year's ACC/Big Ten Challenge sees the 'Cats travel to North Carolina State Dec. 1. It is the lone road non-conference game the Wildcats have scheduled this season.
Following an 11-day break for final exams, Northwestern is back in action Dec. 13 when it hosts North Carolina A&T State. It precedes a contest against North Florida three days later that is being televised by ESPNU.The main portion of NU's non-conference season winds to a close prior to the holidays as it hosts Stanford Dec. 19 and Central Connecticut State Dec. 22.
Northwestern is set to play two more non-league games during its Big Ten bye dates, welcoming UT-Pan American Jan. 7 and Chicago State March 3.Season tickets go on sale by Monday, Sept. 28. Upper Level Purple Preferred season tickets will be $317 while Regular Reserved season tickets are only $260.
