The Chickasha Boys...

OK, when Chris Pool announced that A.J. Burdex of Chickasha, OK had committed, I figured that NU had once again dug a diamond out of the back woods of the southwest.
But then came word of Linebacker Cody Madison, also from the Fightin' Chicks and you might start to wonder...
But these Chicks are something else and a quick look at the local paper will convince you - these guys are Winners.

Cody Madison

He's played Fullback for the "Fightin' Chicks" of Chickasha - in one game he had 6 carries for 48 yards - but his big strength is at Linebacker - He was the Oklahoma Dist 5A Defensive Linebacker of the year.
"He (Madison) has all the physical attributes coaches at that level look for," [Chickasha Coach Tom] Cobble said. "He altered the course of several games this year as an offensive and defensive player."
Madison is one dominant player
Cody Madison ....made the Daily Oklahoman's list of players who had great weeks. Madison had 14 tackles, six solo, a sack and a fumble recovery in Chickasha's 25-22 win over Ardmore - [Chackasha News]
Madison probably would have been an all-state linebacker, except the Chicks had another Kody who won that award.

He's also a Powerlifter - he finished 3rd in a recently with 1,216 lbs in the 242 weight class.

And like some other Linebackers who have played for the Cats - he's also on the Basketball team.
A.J. Burdex
Wide Receiver extrordinaire - The Chick's All district Offensive Player of the year, McDonald's All State, and Daily Oklahoman All State, who also led Class 5A with 12 interceptions as a d-back.

He had one game where he was 5 for 5 with 170 yards and 4 touchdowns.
"I guess they didn't have much of an answer for A.J.," Madison said. "He and Shandon were connecting all night. I was loving it. They said our db's (defensive backs) were the weak point, but they had it backwards."
