Super RB A Heavy Northwestern Lean

One of the nations top running back prospects in 2001 will be in Evanston this weekend for an official visit with Northwestern. Will he leave Sunday a Wildcat?

"I could have stayed at Florida State but I didn't want to play fullback." said running back Thomas Clayton.

"I was given my release and now I'm a soft commitment to Northwestern.

"I'll have three years of eligibility left after I sit out next year.

"Vanderbilt and Nebraska are also in the picture but if my (Northwestern) official visit goes well this weekend, I'll make my commitment solid."

Clayton, a 6-foot, 200-pounder, from Alexandria (Va.) Mt. Vernon was one of the most sought after running back prospects in the nation in 2001.
