Dislocated Finger? What Finger was that?

It seems like the world stopped Wednesday Night as the Northwestern Wildcats never trailed in winning their first Big 10 game of 2003, 74-61 over the Indiana Hoosiers.

We'll have more later, but Junior Guard Jitim Young had 23 points and 12 rebounds playing with a heavily bandaged left hand. Jitim helped direct traffic and scored underneath as he played his second game at forward.

Senior Forward Winston Blake joined the 1000 point club at NU. He got the points in the 2nd half.

Mohamed Hachad had a breakout game - he shot for 12 points, had 6 rebounds and 6 steals, playing as the other guard against Indiana.

Finally, T.J. Parker had 21 points for the Wildcats.

After the game, on the WGN post game show, NU Coach Bill Carmody said that he had borrowed a page from Michigan Coach Tommy Amaker - he told the Cats tonight that the season was starting over.

The win over Indiana - the first in 26 games - certainly jump started the NU Season Wednesday.
