WGN's Dave Eanet noted during the post game show, that the Cats would get good looks, but "they [the shots] just didn't get finished, they just hung on the rim and came off."
Again at the end when Jitim (Young) got fouled, It seemed like the first 6 minutes, we missed 3 layups, not uncontested, but kinda those you have to make. -- NU Coach Bill Carmody on the WGN Postgame Show].I thought that play at halftime... [Mohamed Hachad was called for a foul on a tip-in that cost the Cats 2 Points and let Wisconsin shoot 2 free throws] it may have been the right call, probably was the right call, but it was a big turn around. 4 points, it meant a lot.Once again it was a game of two halves, as the Cats couldn't keep up with Wisconsin in the 2nd half...I thought we played pretty aggressivly in the first half, and I thought it was a pretty decent first half. If a couple of those [layups] had dropped, a couple foul shots we would have had a game, but its [Wisconsin] is a well balanced team - there were 4 guys in double figures - it just seemed like if one guy wasn't hurting you another was.
The problem again was lack of defense, one reason why Mohamed Hachad [AP Photo/M. Spencer Green - left] has been starting.Next game is against the Purdue BoilermakersI don't know about our defense, they probably shot about 50% [Actually 53.8%] - we didn't stop them and that's what you have to do.Jitim Young led the Cats with 25 Points and 10 boards, Aaron Jennings was 6-12, 2-4 from the arc for 16. T.J. Parker had 8, Mohamed Hachad scored 5, Evan Seacat dropped in one 3, and Winston Blake had 2.
I knew it would be harder than Indiana because they're [Wisconsin] much quicker and we had a difficult time keeping our bodies in front of them.

The Badgers shot 53.8% from the floor and 50% from the arc and were led by the 7-15 shooting of Kirk Penney who had 24 points. Clayton Hanson, who wasn't even on the coaches' scouting report, scored 12 and Alando Tucker had 11.
They have Willie Deane who is really tough to contain, most of the other guys I think you can guard but you can't let them get off - Kilgore is a terrific shooter, we handled him the first time, but ...Its NU vs the Boilermakers at 8 PM at Welsh Ryan Arena.
Again they're quick and they beat you off the dribble a little bit - you have to control the game better.
