The Course Cats win First Tourney of 2003

NU Senior Golfer <b>Scott Harrington</b> shot a first place -7 and <b>Tom Johnson</b> placed third to lead the #12 Wildcats to first place in the Rice Intercollegiate tournament Tuesday

Scott Harrington won the Rice Intercollegiate with an 8 foot birdie putt. It put him 2 strokes ahead of Missouri's Chris Happ, who shot an eagle on the final hole. Harrington calmly made the birdie, and won the tournament.
Harrington finished 68-68-73 for the medalist score of 209 on the par-72 BlackHorse North Course Golf Club.

NU's Tom Johnson actually shot a better final round, but finished even for the tournament, and in 3rd place with 70-74-72 -216.

NU's Bryson Young shot a combined 220/+4 for 9th place, Bjorn Widerstedt finished +7 in a tie for 12th, Casey Srunk shot +8 for a 15th place finish, and Dillon Daugherty finished at +12.

The Cats won with a combined 865 or +1 final score.
Now its off to Puerto Rico Feb 23-25 as the Cats look for another win in the NCAA Puerto Rico Classic.
