Ohio Irish Visitors - Michigan

With a couple of pledges to go along with a couple of top Class of 2012 prospect, Ohio will be well represented this weekend.

With at least two verbal pledges (Eilar Hardy, Jarrett Grace) in the Class of 2011 heading from Ohio to campus this Saturday, the Irish will also have three members from the Class of 2012 (Maty Mauk, Taylor Decker, Michael Simpson)that have passed up on going to the Ohio State vs. Miami game to attend Notre Dame as they battle Michigan.

Eilar Hary: Hardy showed on Monday that he was well deserving of all the talk with a super performance. This weekend Hardy's high school team has a bye and he will use it to make a visit to campus. Committed to Notre Dame.

Jarrett Grace: Grace was slowed early with a slight injury, but his high school team is off to a fast start and considered one of the top programs in the state of Ohio. Committed to Notre Dame.

Taylor Decker: One of the top offensive linemen in Ohio for the Class of 2012 is Taylor Decker. At 6-foot-7, 250-pounds, Decker is the type of player Paul Longo loves to work with and build into a possible NFL draft pick.

Maty Mauk: Mauk is off to another great start and continues to attack the record books with his passing skills. Mauk held an offer from Brian Kelly at Cincinnati, but has not been offered by the Irish. One of several quarterbacks the Irish are looking hard at in the Class of 2012.

Michael Simpson: Michael Simpson is an athletic quarterback that is getting a lot of looks. A member of the Class of 2012, Simpson will have an uphill battle to get the Irish interest and may have to camp next summer.

Irish Eyes will look to speak with each of these players after there visit.
