IE TV - Class of 2012 Dayne Hammond

One prospect college programs are taking a hard look at is Dayne Hammond. The talented wide receiver / safety prospect has size but will need to open some eyes with his play and camp performances.

If you're looking for a player that provides you a tall receiving threat then look no farther than Dayne Hammond of Youngstown (Ohio) Boardman High School.

At 6-foot-4, 170-pounds, Hammond has the height many college programs are looking for at the receiver position. However, while his future may be on the offensive side of the ball, he could also be a player some programs look to be a safety.

On film, Hammond plays both safety and receiver and shows the ability to make the big play on both sides of the football. The main question when looking at Hammond is his speed, but with his height and a frame that has room to fill out and grown, the future could be very bright.

What stands out in this highlight is his ability to do something after the catch or interception. Despite his speed, Hammond seems to be able to get separation and find the end zone.

Hammond is currently seeing interest from several programs including Ball State, Duke, North Carolina, Penn State, and more.

Here are highlights from Hammond's sophomore season. Top Stories
