Notre Dame needs to add a few small speedy wide receivers to their roster and Chris Black (5-foot-11, 160-pounds) certainly fits that description. Black's mailbox has been filling up with recruiting material on a daily basis and the Irish are among the schools trying to get his attention.
"They've (Notre Dame) been sending me stuff in the mail, but I haven't talked to any of the coaches," Black said. "I really don't know much about the school. (Louis Nix) played at Raines (high school) last year and he was tough when we played them. He plays up there.
"I'm getting mail from a lot of schools, but my main ones that have offered are Florida, Florida State, and Georgia. Miami just gave me an offer last week."
Black will continue to see his scholarship offers pile up as schools get a chance to evaluate his film, but there are two that currently hold his attention.
"Florida and Florida State are the main ones," he said. "But I'm, going to take my time and see what some of the other schools have to offer. I'll probably check some schools out next spring and then hopefully have it where I can make a decision sometime before my senior season."
Black as already visited both Florida and Florida State this fall unofficially.
