Irish Out, Michigan In

A week after taking an unofficial visit to Notre Dame for the Utah game, running back Justice Hayes from Grand Blanc High School (Mich.) pulled his commitment to the Irish on Sunday and made a commitment to Michigan on Monday.

Justice Hayes,'s No. 14 ranked running back, committed to Notre Dame on July 30, and now has become the fourth player to de-commit from Notre Dame's 2011 recruiting class.

"Coach Jackson already knew it was coming, but we wanted to talk with Coach Rodriguez and give the commitment to both of those guys," Hayes reported to the Detroit Free Press.

Notre Dame is still in the mix with Savon Huggins from St. Peter's Prep (Jersey City, N.J.),'s No. 5 ranked running back. Huggins has already taken an official visit to Notre Dame and has the Irish in his top-5, along with Rutgers, North Carolina, Florida and Pitt.

Hayes follows linebacker Clay Burton, offensive tackle Jordan Prestwood and defensive end Aaron Lynch who changed their commitments over the past four weeks. Top Stories
