Things went very well for Notre Dame this weekend, as the Irish snapped an eight-game losing streak to rival USC. On Monday, things got even better for head coach Brian Kelly, as running back Cam McDaniel (5-foot-10, 190-pounds) committed to Notre Dame.
"Yes I did," McDaniel confirmed to IrishEyes.com via text message when asked if he had committed to the Irish.
McDaniel selected Notre Dame over Cincinnati, Colorado, Stanford, Texas Tech, Iowa State and Minnesota.
Through 12 games McDaniel had 233 carries for 1,584 yards (6.8 per carry) and 22 touchdowns. Cam also caught 25 balls for 331 yards and 11 touchdowns.
IrishEyes will have more on Cam McDaniels later.
